Overview
Brick Lane Laughs is a stand-up comedy evening at Ninety One Living Room in London, a venue that hosts concerts and shows. It brings several comedians to one bill for a night of live comedy.
Stephen K. Amos hosts the evening and finds humour in everyday life. Sam See looks at culture and identity from an international perspective, while Shazia Mirza, a British comedian, takes on weightier subjects with sharp observations. Jeff Innocent adds East End charm and storytelling to the mix.
The format is a stand-up night, with each comedian performing their own material in turn under the host's direction. The tone is light and conversational, built on observation and personal perspective rather than a set theme.
The evening suits anyone who enjoys live stand-up and wants a varied selection of voices in one night, from everyday observation to discussions of identity and society.
