Buena Vista Social Club

Buena Vista Social Club is a Cuban music group formed in Havana in 1966. It began performing in 1996 on the World Circuit Records label and released its self-titled debut album in 1997. The group's style is Cuban son, a traditional genre that blends Spanish guitar, African rhythms and the vocal harmonies typical of Cuban popular music.

At this London concert, the group presents its Cuban son repertoire on stage. The programme and the line-up of the performers are not detailed in the information available here, so the evening is best approached as a concert of Cuban son by a group that has been performing for decades.

indigo at The O2 is a venue that hosts concerts and shows in London. The night suits listeners interested in Cuban son and in the world music tradition associated with the group's debut recordings, as well as anyone wishing to hear this style performed live.
