Casino Royale in Concert

A concert titled Casino Royale in Concert, taking place at Symphony Hall in Birmingham, drawing its title from the 1967 spy film and its score by Burt Bacharach.

Casino Royale is the 1967 spy spoof based on Ian Fleming's 1953 novel of the same name. Its score was composed by Burt Bacharach, and the song The Look of Love, sung by Dusty Springfield, plays over the opening credits.

Casino Royale in Concert is presented at Symphony Hall, which hosts concerts and shows in Birmingham. The title places the evening in the world of the film and its Bacharach score, so the programme is anchored in that music and its period.

The night will suit anyone curious about Bacharach's film writing or about the 1960s spy films of the Bond era, whose sound and style the title recalls.
