Eluveitie

Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie headline a London concert at Electric Brixton, with Swedish industrial metal act Pain and Finnish melodic death metal band Wolfheart also on the bill.

Eluveitie were formed in Winterthur, Switzerland, in 2002 and signed to Nuclear Blast, which released their first album, Spirit, in 2006. The band combines folk metal, Celtic metal and melodic death metal, drawing on traditional Celtic instrumentation alongside heavy guitar work. Their sound is built on that fusion of folk melody and extreme metal, rather than on conventional song structures.

Pain, formed in Stockholm in 1997, play industrial metal. Their self-titled debut album came out the same year on Nuclear Blast. Wolfheart, a Finnish melodic death metal band, were formed in 2013 by Tuomas Saukkonen, previously a founder of Before the Dawn. They signed to Napalm Records and released their debut album, Winterborn, in 2013.

The evening takes place at Electric Brixton, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows. The bill suits listeners who follow heavy metal in its folk, industrial and melodic death variants. Details of the line-up on stage and the running order of each set are not specified here.
