Global Majority

Global Majority is a theatre production at the Bush Theatre in London, a thriller by Chris Fung directed by Rupert Hands. It follows a candidate facing increasingly brutal interviews.

The production centres on Brian Tran, who is being interviewed for a role that could make him the most powerful leader in the world. As the interview tests grow harsher, he is made to confront what might follow if he does not succeed. The material describes the piece as combining the tone of Black Mirror with that of Succession, with its themes of family loyalty, secretive elites and what people are willing to give up to be close to power.

The show is a new thriller written by Chris Fung, whose earlier play The Society for New Cuisine was praised by The Scotsman, and directed by Rupert Hands. The staging is built around a single interview room, with the tension driven by the exchanges between the characters.

The Bush Theatre is a London venue that hosts theatre and other live shows. Several dates are offered on this visit, including relaxed, BSL interpreted, captioned and audio described performances, so audiences can choose the session that suits them.
