Overview
Horace Andy is a Jamaican singer whose work spans reggae, dub and downtempo. Born in Kingston in 1951, the singer has been active since 1967, and the first album, Skylarking, was released in 1972 on Studio One.
Over more than five decades, Horace Andy has kept a distinctive tone that remains recognisable across generations of reggae listeners. The singer appears on all five studio albums by Massive Attack, and the dub sound developed in that work has had a lasting influence on wider contemporary music.
The Jazz Cafe hosts concerts and shows in London, and this evening brings the singer to its stage. Live performances are central to the singer's career, and the concert suits listeners interested in roots reggae and dub.
