Overview

Jay Sean is a British R&B and pop act, and this concert at O2 Academy Birmingham brings the project's pop-led catalogue to the city.

Jay Sean is a British R&B and pop singer and songwriter who reached a wide international audience in the late 2000s. The collaboration Down with Lil Wayne, released in 2009, topped the UK Singles Chart and reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. Another well-known song, Do You Remember, features Sean Paul, and Jay Sean's recordings draw on R&B, hip hop and pop production.

Jay Sean's material combines sung melodies with rhythmic, hip hop-influenced beats, which suits audiences who follow contemporary R&B and pop. Down and Do You Remember are the most recognisable songs in the catalogue for listeners approaching the work for the first time.

The concert takes place at O2 Academy Birmingham, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city. The night suits fans of R&B and pop who want to hear Jay Sean's best-known songs performed live in Birmingham.
