Overview
French band Nouvelle Vague bring their bossa nova interpretations of new wave tracks to the Howard Assembly Room in Leeds.
Nouvelle Vague are a French band from Paris, formed in 2003 by Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. Blending new wave, bossa nova and lounge, they cover classic new wave tracks and released their self-titled first album on the Play It Again Sam label in 2004. On this visit to Leeds, the project celebrates the launch of the album A Date With Depeche Mode.
Over the years, the collective has featured a rotating cast of vocalists, including Camille, Elodie Frege, Melanie Pain, Phoebe Kildeer, Juliette Lewis, Vanessa Paradis, Martin Gore, Ian McCulloch and Terry Hall. The evening takes place at the Howard Assembly Room, which hosts concerts and shows in Leeds.
