Overview
French collective Nouvelle Vague bring their bossa nova reinventions of classic new wave tracks to Hangar34 in Liverpool.
Nouvelle Vague are a French band from Paris, formed in 2003 by Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. Their musical identity centres on blending new wave, bossa nova and lounge styles, famously reinterpreting classic new wave tracks through this distinct aesthetic. They released their self-titled first album on the Play It Again Sam label in 2004, establishing an approach that reimagines post-punk and new wave repertoire into acoustic bossa nova arrangements.
This performance takes place at Hangar34, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in Liverpool. The event suits listeners interested in alternative pop, rock and indie arrangements performed live on stage by the touring collective.
