Orbital

Orbital is a British electronic act performing at the British Airways ARC in London. This entry presents the band's concert and its background in electronica and techno.

Orbital is an English electronic music group formed in 1989 in Sevenoaks, combining electronica and techno. Their first album, titled Orbital, was released in 1991 on the FFRR label, and the group has built its sound on the blend of these two genres.

The band's music is rooted in the electronic dance scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s, and its records are built around synthesised textures and rhythmic electronic production. For a live performance, the set draws on this electronic repertoire, carried by the rhythmic drive of techno and the atmospheric layers of electronica.

The British Airways ARC is a London venue that hosts concerts, and this evening suits listeners interested in British electronic music who want to hear one of the country's long-standing acts of the genre in a live setting.
