About — The artist
Orbital (pronunciation in English: [ɔːbɪtəl], [ɔːbɪtl̩]) is a British electronic music duo formed in 1989, originating from the town of Otford in the county of Kent, England, made up of the brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll. The group took a break after the release of Blue Album, before reforming in 2009.
Orbital takes its name from the raves that took place towards the end of the 1980s near London's orbital motorway, the British M25, known as London Orbital.
