Peña Argenta by Elevé

Peña Argenta by Elevé is a world music event built around Argentine folklore: a live concert followed by a participatory peña, with food and drink from Argentina, held at Toulouse Lautrec in London.

The evening is rooted in Argentine folklore. It opens with a live concert of traditional Argentine music and heartfelt songs, after which the room turns to a peña, a session in which those present are invited to join in the singing. The format echoes the Argentine habit of a long shared meal, where conversation and music carry on at the table once the plates have been cleared.

Food and drink are part of the programme. Empanadas and other Argentine dishes are served, and Fernet is available. The gathering is intended as a space to share stories and meet others who come for the music.

The night suits Argentinians living in London who want to reconnect with a tradition they know well, and it also suits people discovering this music and these customs for the first time. Toulouse Lautrec hosts concerts and shows in London, and this evening takes place there.
