Pomme

A London concert by Pomme, the French singer-songwriter, musician and actress whose work draws on traditional music, pop folk and chanson française, at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.

Pomme is a French singer-songwriter, musician and actress. Their work draws on traditional music, pop folk and chanson française. Born in 1996 in Décines-Charpieu, the artist released the album À peu près in 2017, which is the record to start with for this body of songs.

The music sits between the folk tradition and the more direct language of pop, with the French-language songwriting of chanson at its core. Pomme also works as a musician and an actress, so the material on stage reflects a practice that extends beyond the song alone.

The concert takes place at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows throughout the year. The evening suits listeners interested in French songwriting and in the lineage linking folk and pop, as well as anyone curious about a performer who works across music and acting.
