R&B & Slow Jams

A night of R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae at the O2 Academy Birmingham, billed as R&B & Slow Jams. The act is also listed as Slow Jams and RNB & Slow Jams.

R&B & Slow Jams is a night built around R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, with slow, sung material at its core. The act is also billed as Slow Jams and as RNB & Slow Jams, and the title places the slower end of R&B at the centre of the programme.

The genre mix draws on the soul and funk lineage of contemporary R&B, with gospel vocal traditions and reggae rhythms also part of the sound. Listeners who enjoy slow R&B, classic soul and grooves rooted in funk will find the evening's core styles in that blend.

The O2 Academy Birmingham hosts concerts and shows in Birmingham, and this evening takes its stage for an R&B and slow jams night. It is aimed at audiences who follow the genre across these styles.
