Overview
A Christmas murder mystery staged at Alexandra Palace, in which Sherlock Holmes investigates a series of deaths linked to The Twelve Days of Christmas. The show is presented as a theatre production set in Victorian London.
The story opens at Christmas in Victorian London, in the West End, where performers begin dying mid-scene while Scotland Yard rules out foul play. Sherlock Holmes, described as the world's greatest consulting detective, finds a disturbing link between the deaths and the carol The Twelve Days of Christmas, and must act before the killer strikes again.
As the body count rises, Holmes has to rescue the characters named in the carol, including Mother Goose, while his sidekick Dr Watson and his rival Athena Faversham help keep him alive. The production is a festive murder mystery with a comic tone, combining mystery, playful mischief and Christmas themes.
The show takes place at Alexandra Palace, which is listed as a concert venue, and the material describes the Alexandra Palace Theatre as a Victorian theatre suited to this kind of staged detective story.
