Squeeze plus Very Special Guest Billy Bragg

A concert by the English new wave band Squeeze, with Billy Bragg as very special guest, at The O2 in London. The evening brings together two long-standing British songwriting acts.

Squeeze is an English new wave band formed in London in 1974. Signed to A&M Records, the group recorded through the late 1970s, and then in the 1980s, 1990s and 2010s, building a catalogue of tightly crafted pop songs with sharp lyrics. The band is the headline act of this evening.

Billy Bragg is billed as the very special guest, appearing alongside Squeeze on this night. Bragg is a singer-songwriter whose work draws on folk and protest traditions, and who has worked in British popular music since the 1980s. The programme for the evening is not detailed here, so the balance between the two acts'sets is not stated.

The O2 is a multi-purpose entertainment venue in London that hosts concerts and shows throughout the year. The night suits listeners who follow British new wave and singer-songwriter music, and those who wish to hear both a headline band and a guest performer on a single bill.
