Stick Man

Stick Man is a family theatre production at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London, adapted for the stage from the children's story of the same name. It follows a stick-shaped hero on an unexpected run of adventures.

The story follows Stick Man, who sets out on a morning run and is pulled into a series of mishaps. A dog wants to play fetch, a swan adopts him as building material for its nest, and a later turn of events lands him in a fire, leaving him to find his way back to his family tree before Christmas.

The production combines puppetry with songs, live music and dance-based movement. It is described by its makers as an award-winning show with a festive theme, and it is presented as a theatre piece for a family audience rather than a stand-up or dance evening.

The show takes place at the Bloomsbury Theatre, a theatre on Gordon Street in the Bloomsbury area of central London. Its programme suits younger children and the adults who accompany them, and the story is built around a recognisable picture-book character.
