The Hunger Games On Stage

A stage adaptation of Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games, presented as a world premiere at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre in London. It follows Katniss Everdeen through the world of Panem.

This production adapts the story of Katniss Everdeen, the Girl on Fire, from Suzanne Collins's novel, which was also the basis of the Lionsgate film. The show follows her journey through Panem, with its themes of courage, hope and defiance, now staged as a live production rather than on screen.

The publicity material describes the staging as a large-scale spectacle, with stunts, illusions and a set that changes around the audience during the performance. The production is presented as a world premiere adaptation, so it is a new staging of the story for the stage.

The show is staged at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, a purpose-built theatre in Canary Wharf, which the source describes as one of London's newest. The material notes that the theatre is served by the Jubilee Line, the Elizabeth Line and the DLR, and that it lies within easy reach of Central London. Reviews quoted by the source describe the production as a spectacle and a fast-paced, movie-style experience.
