The Lion King

A stage production of Disney's musical The Lion King, presented at the Lyceum Theatre in London, following Simba from cub to rightful King of the Pridelands.

This is a staged musical adaptation of Disney's The Lion King, based on the story of Simba's journey from a young cub to the ruler of the Pridelands. The production is described in its listing as a theatre show set in the African savannah, with a focus on its visual design, bold colours and a score built on African-inspired rhythms.

As a musical, the show combines sung numbers with live staging, and the listing highlights its effects and costumes as central to the experience. The story follows Simba's growth and his path to claiming his place as king, a narrative that will be familiar to many audiences from the original film.

The performances take place at the Lyceum Theatre, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows. The production is aimed at a broad audience, including families and visitors who enjoy large-scale musicals in the West End.
