Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats

Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats bring their tour to London, with the British doom metal trio Conan and the New Zealand duo Earth Tongue on the same bill at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.

Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats are a British rock band whose music draws on psychedelic and heavy rock. The band was formed in Cambridge and has built its sound around riff-led songs with a retro, late-1960s and 1970s flavour. Their set is the headline of this evening.

The bill includes Conan, a British doom metal trio whose slow, heavy style sits within the wider doom and stoner tradition. Earth Tongue, a duo formed in New Zealand in 2016, play psychedelic rock and stoner rock, and released their debut album, Floating Being, in 2019. Their presence adds a second heavy, psychedelic voice to the evening.

The concert takes place at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows. The programme suits listeners who follow heavy psychedelic and stoner rock, and who want to hear several bands of related but distinct styles on one night.
