What's the F**king Point?

A dark satire on disability, medical bureaucracy and identity politics, staged at The Maria Theatre in London by the disability-led company FlawBored.

Three friends and an unhelpful doctor are drawn into a tangle of medical paperwork, questions of identity and the wish to feel that one's life matters. Matteen's disability is reclassified overnight, Julia receives a diagnosis she did not ask for, and Beth decides she would like one too. The piece is presented as a bitingly dark satire rather than a straightforward drama.

The production comes from FlawBored, a theatre company led by disabled artists, which the source describes as multi-award-winning and whose previous show is It's a Motherf**king Pleasure. The listing states that the performances are audio described, and that touch tours are offered on certain dates.

The show takes place at The Maria Theatre, which hosts concerts and shows in London. Its satirical treatment of identity and diagnosis is aimed at audiences ready for a sharp, uncomfortable comedy.
