Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Edward Albee's 1962 play Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is staged at the @sohoplace Theatre in London. The production follows a late-night gathering between two couples on an American college campus.

The story unfolds in the small hours after a party on a college campus. Martha, against the wishes of her husband George, has asked a newly appointed professor, Nick, and his wife, Honey, to join them for drinks at their home. As the evening wears on, the younger couple find themselves caught up in the older pair's cruel and combative games, which build towards a painful moment of candid confession.

The piece is a drama, presented on the stage of the @sohoplace Theatre, a venue at 4 Soho Place in the W1 district of London. The material describes a play in which the tension between the four characters is the central driver, so audiences should expect a work built around dialogue and psychological conflict rather than spectacle.

The listing also notes performances with accessibility provisions, including British Sign Language interpretation, audio description and captioning on selected dates. Those details are shown on the dates table, which should be checked when choosing a session.
