WHP 26 /// The Streets

The Streets perform in Manchester as part of the Warehouse Project series at Depot Mayfield.

The Streets are the pioneering British music project formed by Mike Skinner, which emerged in the early 2000s and defined a generation of UK garage, hip hop and alternative pop. Their breakthrough 2002 debut album, Original Pirate Material, and the subsequent 2004 release A Grand Don't Come for Free brought mainstream attention to domestic British narratives set to two-step beats and indie-leaning sensibilities. Well-known tracks from their catalogue include Has It Come to This?, Weak Become Heroes and Dry Your Eyes.

Depot Mayfield hosts the concert in Manchester, providing a raw industrial space for large-scale contemporary music events. The night suits listeners interested in British alternative pop and electronic-inflected hip hop culture.
