About — The artist
Mass of the Fermenting Dregs (Japanese: マス オブ ザ ファーメンティング ドレッグス, Hepburn: Masu obu za Fāmentingu Doreggusu; stylised in capitals) is a Japanese post-hardcore and shoegaze trio formed in Kobe in 2002. In Japanese, the band is also commonly referred to by an abbreviated form of its name, Masu Dore (マスドレ). The group is known for a carefully arranged style, driven by guitar, melodic pop vocals and a highly energetic stage presence during its concerts.
From the release of their self-titled EP in January 2008, the band signed with the Japanese indie rock label Avocado Records. They have released four albums since their second EP. After their first album, they released their records either self-produced or through Flake Sounds.
