My New Band Believe

My New Band Believe is an English rock band formed in 2025 by former Black Midi bassist and singer Cameron Picton, following the band's hiatus in 2024. It brings together Picton on vocals and guitar, along with a rotating lineup of musicians on drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, and saxophone.

The band's introductory single, “Lecture 25,” was released on February 14, 2025, accompanied by a music video directed by Jack Shep. Three days later, the band announced that their debut studio album, My New Band Believe, would be released on April 10, 2026, preceded by the non-album single “Numerology.” It was praised by critics and noted for its clear departure from Black Midi's heavier sound, featuring a largely acoustic sonority blending free jazz, sophisti-pop, disco, and tropicália. Picton himself described the album as “almost entirely acoustic.”

The band's self-titled album was released on April 10, 2026, and received a favorable critical reception. The band then planned two major tours: in the United Kingdom from April 28 to May 6, 2026, and in North America from May 29 to June 7, 2026.
