The Pretty Reckless

The Pretty Reckless is an American alternative rock band from New York. Formed in 2009 by Taylor Momsen, it is made up of Ben Phillips on guitar (and backing vocals), Mark Damon on bass, Jamie Perkins on drums, and Taylor Momsen on vocals (and guitar). To date, the band has released five albums: Light Me Up in 2010, Going to Hell in 2014, Who You Selling For in 2016, Death by Rock and Roll in 2021 and Dear God in 2026.

Their music is strongly influenced by classic rock, particularly hard rock and blues rock. They made American music history by becoming the first female-fronted band to reach the top of the Billboard charts with two songs, Heavens Knows and Messed Up World.

In 2010 the band embarked on the world tour for their first album (the Light Me Up Tour), which concluded in March 2012. Four days after the end of that first tour, they began the My Medicine Tour, where they supported Marilyn Manson and Evanescence. In 2014, the band supported Soundgarden. In 2015, they opened for Nickelback on the North American leg of the No Fixed Address Tour. After the tour with Nickelback, they joined the 2015 Carnival of Madness Tour alongside Halestorm. In 2017, following a tour promoting their new album, the band played several dates once again with Soundgarden, then undertook a festival tour over the summer.
