Francesca Proia / Trajectoires du rêve - Danae Festival

Trajectoires du rêve is an intensive course of advanced training and research in yoga in relation to artistic creation, aimed at yoga teachers of all levels, researchers, educators and artists with an interest in the language of yoga and dance.

Yoga works on perception in an unprecedented way and, precisely for this reason, allows aspects of the body that normally remain invisible to ordinary experience to emerge.

What Francesca Proia proposes is to take the time to conceive – and, if need be, to live through – the birth of a creation that arises from the body and the breath. There is something wild in us that exceeds the will. The relationship between this vital, wild dimension and the dialogue with consciousness is one of the themes of yoga, but also of art. What yoga and artistic practice have in common is not a content, but a structure of experience: both operate through practices that alter the relationship between body, perception and consciousness, creating the conditions for something unexpected to emerge.

The work will proceed through the gradual composition of a collective action, in which individual practices will converge into a shared form. The research will ultimately take shape in a public performative action: an act capable of affecting perception, the body and the shared space.
