Bit Brigade performs rock band covers of video game soundtracks while a member speedruns the game live on stage. Founded in 2004, the instrumental project draws from the classic NES era, translating chiptune compositions by composers like Koji Kondo and Kenichi Matsueda into guitar-driven arrangements. Their studio albums include instrumental interpretations of Mega Man, Metroid, and the titles featured on this tour.
Brighton Music Hall hosts the performance in Boston, welcoming audiences interested in video game culture and rock music. The group maintains a synchronized performance style where the duration of each track matches the progress of the live video game playthrough on screen.
