Chris Dave X Eric Gales X MonoNeon X Cory Henry

A Los Angeles concert at Blue Note Los Angeles bringing together Chris Dave, guitarist Eric Gales, MonoNeon and organist Cory Henry, with music drawn from R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae.

The bill is headed by Chris Dave, Eric Gales, MonoNeon and Cory Henry. Cory Henry is an American jazz-funk organist, pianist, gospel musician and producer, born in 1987 in Brooklyn, who released his debut album, Gotcha Now Doc, in 2012. Eric Gales is a guitarist from Memphis, Tennessee, and MonoNeon appears alongside them on the same bill.

The genres named for this show are R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, so the program sits at the intersection of groove-based keyboard playing, soul songwriting and gospel-rooted vocal and harmonic traditions. The night suits listeners who follow funk and soul instrumentalists and the gospel-influenced side of Cory Henry's work.

Blue Note Los Angeles is a venue in Los Angeles that hosts concerts and shows, and this evening is one of its music bookings on this visit to the city.
