Donald Harrison's Quantum Leap Festival ALL-ACCESS PASS OCT 29-NOV 1

An all-access pass to Donald Harrison's Quantum Leap Festival, a multi-day jazz event in New Orleans built around the work of the saxophonist and composer Donald Harrison, held at the New Orleans Jazz Market.

Donald Harrison is a New Orleans jazz alto saxophonist and composer whose music draws on the bebop lineage and on the city's Mardi Gras Indian traditions. Harrison came up in the New Orleans scene and gained wider recognition as a member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers in the 1980s, before leading projects under their own name. The festival carries Harrison's name and centers on that blend of modern jazz and New Orleans roots.

The all-access pass covers the full run of the Quantum Leap Festival, so it suits listeners who want to follow the program across several days rather than attend a single performance. It is a good fit for fans of acoustic jazz, for listeners interested in how New Orleans traditions feed into contemporary jazz, and for visitors who want a concentrated introduction to the city's jazz scene.

The New Orleans Jazz Market is a venue that hosts concerts and shows in New Orleans, and the festival programming takes place there. Those attending are joining a New Orleans jazz event centered on one of the city's leading saxophone voices.
