Foil Art Workshop

A beginner-friendly workshop at YIJUN'S Fine Art Studio San Francisco in which participants learn metal foil embossing, pressing textured designs into shiny metallic sheets.

This hands-on workshop introduces metal embossing, a technique in which designs are pressed into thin metallic foil to create raised and sunken textures. Participants transfer patterns onto the foil, work on both embossed and debossed areas, and add antique finishes that bring out the detail of each design. Tips are given along the way, so the steps are learned as you go.

All materials are provided, so there is nothing to bring beyond your own ideas and attention. No prior experience is required. By the end of the workshop you take home a finished piece of metallic artwork and the basic skills to keep working with foil on your own. The session takes place at YIJUN'S Fine Art Studio San Francisco.

The workshop suits adults and curious beginners who want to try a new craft, as well as visitors who enjoy making something by hand during their time in San Francisco. It is a good fit for anyone who prefers working with their hands over watching a demonstration.
