Overview
A Los Angeles bill pairing punk band Death Threat with New York hardcore group Cro-Mags at The Belasco, tied to a toy drive benefit.
Cro-Mags formed in New York in 1981 and belong to the city's hardcore lineage. Their 1986 album The Age of Quarrel is one of the records most often cited from that scene, and vocalist John Joseph has been a central figure in the band.
Death Threat plays punk, and on this bill it shares the stage with Cro-Mags in a night built around punk and rock. The event is titled For The Children: SOS Booking Toy Drive, which links the evening to a toy collection.
The Belasco hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles. The night suits fans of hardcore punk who want to see two bands from the genre in one evening.
