Russian Circles

A concert at The Belasco in Los Angeles featuring Russian Circles, an instrumental rock band, alongside Primitive Man, a sludge metal and post-metal project. Both acts share the bill.

Russian Circles is an instrumental rock band from Chicago, built around guitarist Mike Sullivan, bassist Brian Cook and drummer Dave Turncrantz. Their music is driven by long, layered compositions without vocals, moving between heavy passages and quieter, atmospheric sections. Station (2009) and Empros (2016) are among their full-length albums.

Primitive Man is an American band of composers and musicians playing sludge metal, death-doom and post-metal, active since 2012. Its debut album, Scorn, was released in 2013. Their heavy, slow-building style makes them a natural pairing for a night of instrumental heavy rock.

The Belasco is a Los Angeles venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow heavy instrumental rock, post-metal and doom, with both acts performing on the same bill.
