Groove Obscura presents: Pitch Black Album Listening

Groove Obscura presents a listening session of Pitch Black, staged at Silence Please in New York. The evening is built around the album and the artist Arjun Shah, with music drawing on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae.

Arjun Shah is the artist at the center of this evening, which brings together R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae in a single listening program. The album Pitch Black gives the night its focus, so the event is organized around hearing the record rather than around a conventional concert format.

The session is presented by Groove Obscura, a name that signals an interest in underground and less conventional grooves. The programming draws on several genres at once, so listeners who follow soul, funk or reggae alongside contemporary R&B will find common ground in the material.

Silence Please is a New York venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who want to hear an album in full and follow an artist's work closely, as well as fans of the genres named in the program.
