The Cure's Disintegration Listening Session with Andi

A listening session built around The Cure's 1989 album Disintegration, presented with Andi at Silence Please in New York. The evening is a listening format rather than a standard live set.

Disintegration is the eleventh studio album by The Cure, the English rock band formed in Crawley, Sussex, in the late 1970s and led throughout by singer and guitarist Robert Smith. Released in 1989, the record is among the band's best-known works, with songs such as "Lovesong" and "Pictures of You" becoming widely recognized. Its atmospheric, layered sound draws on the gothic and post-punk side of the group's catalog.

Andi is the name attached to this session, and the program centers on the album itself, so the evening suits listeners who want to hear Disintegration from start to finish and discuss it in a focused setting rather than attend a conventional concert.

Silence Please hosts concerts and shows in New York, and this session takes place there. The format is built around close listening, which makes it a fit for fans of The Cure and of the post-punk and rock records of the late 1980s.
