Guilty Pleasures

Guilty Pleasures is a burlesque cabaret at The Offbeat Bar in Highland Park, built around 80s and 90s pop songs that Los Angeles burlesque performers bring to the stage. It is a cabaret outing in which the songs become the basis for each act.

The first half presents the cast's own guilty-pleasure picks, performed by Los Angeles burlesque performers as striptease numbers. The repertoire draws on 80s hair bands and 90s bubblegum pop, the kind of songs many people keep to themselves. In the second half, audience requests take over: you choose a favorite song for a dancer, and that track becomes the basis of a striptease.

The Offbeat Bar, in Highland Park, hosts the show, and guests sit close to the action. Because each dancer can be given a song, the program is shaped partly by the room itself, so no two outings follow the same sequence of numbers.

The venue is ADA-compliant. The outing suits groups of friends and couples who want a playful night of burlesque built around music from the 80s and 90s.
