Halloween Night of Covers: Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, The Cure

A Halloween cover night in Miami, built around songs by Smashing Pumpkins, Korn and The Cure, performed by tribute acts rather than the original bands. It is a punk and rock program.

Halloween Night of Covers is a cover show, so the songs of Smashing Pumpkins, Korn and The Cure are played by tribute acts, not by the original bands. Smashing Pumpkins is an American alternative rock band formed in Chicago in 1988 around Billy Corgan, with James Iha, D'arcy Wretzky and Jimmy Chamberlin. Its key records include Gish (1991), Siamese Dream (1993) and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995), which yielded the singles "Today" and "1979".

Korn, from Bakersfield, California, was formed in 1993 and became a leading name in nu metal. The Cure, formed in Crawley, England, in 1976 and led by Robert Smith, is associated with post-punk and gothic rock. Together, the three bands span 1990s alternative, metal and post-punk.

Las Rosas is a Miami venue that hosts concerts and shows.
