Crimewave: A Goth, Post-Punk, and Darkwave Party in Miami

Crimewave is a Miami night of goth, post-punk and darkwave music, filed under punk and rock and held at Churchill's Pub.

Crimewave is a party devoted to goth, post-punk and darkwave, three closely related strands of rock that emerged from the British scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Post-punk pared guitar music down to angular rhythms and moody vocals, and goth and darkwave grew from it with a darker, more romantic sound.

The night is for fans of these styles who want to dance to music from these scenes, and it sits within the punk and rock tradition. Goth, post-punk and darkwave share a fondness for minor keys, reverb-heavy guitars and somber lyrics, which is the shared ground of these styles.

The party takes place at Churchill's Pub, a Miami venue that hosts concerts and shows.
