In this hands-on cooking class at Pilot Project Brewing - Wrigleyville, participants make three kinds of dumplings from scratch: mandu, gyoza and siu mai. Working from flour and filling, they practice knife skills while preparing a ginger chicken mixture, then fold the wrappers by hand.
Each style is boiled and pan-steamed once shaped. The finished chicken and vegetable dumplings are served with chili crisp dipping sauce. Ingredients and equipment for those two fillings are provided. Drinks are not included and can be purchased at the bar. Participants sit down together to eat the dumplings they cooked alongside one another.
