Hooey Presents: Turnpike Troubadours

Turnpike Troubadours bring their country and Red Dirt sound to Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, with Red Shahan on the same bill. The show suits listeners who follow country, folk and blues.

Turnpike Troubadours are a country band from Oklahoma, associated with the Red Dirt scene that grew out of the state's roots music. Evan Felker, the band's vocalist and principal songwriter, shapes much of their material, which draws on country, folk and blues. Their records are built around narrative songwriting and the band's full-band arrangements, with fiddle and steel-guitar textures typical of the genre.

Red Shahan is also on the bill, so the evening pairs two acts under the Hooey Presents banner. Both artists work in the country and folk territory that the program points to, so the night is aimed at fans of roots-based American music.

Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas is a music venue in Las Vegas that hosts concerts and shows, and this is one of its bookings for the season.
