KEXP Presents: Immersion, guests

Malka Spigel and Colin Newman bring their long-running project Immersion to Seattle for a live performance.

Immersion consists of Malka Spigel and Colin Newman, who have previously worked with Minimal Compact and Wire. Established in the early 1990s, the project centers on varied approaches, operating independently while also serving as a vehicle for collaborative work across different musical directions. Their recorded output spans releases such as Low Impact in 1999, Sleepless in 2018, and the 2025 release WTF. In recent years, the project has undertaken the Nanocluster series, partnering with multiple artists including Tarwater, Laetitia Sadier, Ulrich Schnauss, Scanner, Thor Harris, Cubzoa, and SUSS for collaborative albums and performances.

This evening takes place at The Sunset Tavern in Seattle, a venue that presents concerts and live shows. The program features Immersion alongside invited guests, offering listeners a chance to hear the material live in a neighborhood venue setting.
