Reggaeton Rave: Dia de Los Muertos

An electronic night by Reggaeton Rave at Nova SD in San Diego, titled Reggaeton Rave: Día de los Muertos, which links Latin dance music to the Mexican holiday.

Reggaeton Rave is an electronic act that builds on reggaeton, the Latin genre that grew out of Puerto Rico and Panama and blends Caribbean and Latin American rhythms with hip-hop and electronic beats. The name pairs that tradition with rave culture, the dance-floor scene built around electronic music.

The title ties the show to Día de los Muertos, the Mexican observance of late October and early November that honors deceased loved ones. The holiday is observed with altars, marigolds, and celebrations across Mexico and Mexican American communities in the United States.

Nova SD hosts concerts and shows in San Diego, and this electronic night is one of its events.
