Sean Hayes with KATZROAR and Etienne de Rocher (Haunted Shed)

A concert at The Independent in San Francisco, built around Sean Hayes with KATZROAR and Etienne de Rocher on the same bill under the Haunted Shed name. The music is blues, country and folk.

Sean Hayes is the act around which this bill is built, with KATZROAR and Etienne de Rocher joining the evening. Sean Hayes's music falls within blues, country and folk, three roots traditions that center on song and storytelling.

Blues draws on repeated verse forms and call-and-response phrasing, country on American string-band and honky-tonk traditions, and folk on narrative songs passed from performer to performer. Together they form a shared vocabulary of acoustic-leaning, lyric-driven music, which is the common ground for this program.

The Independent is a San Francisco venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow roots-based songwriting and want to hear it performed live in the city.
