Gilla Band

A concert by Gilla Band, the Dublin post-punk rock band, at The Independent in San Francisco, for listeners drawn to guitar-driven punk and rock.

Gilla Band is an Irish post-punk rock band from Dublin, formed in 2011. Their debut album, Holding Hands with Jamie, was released in 2015. Post-punk grew out of the punk of the late 1970s, and the band's music sits in that tradition alongside rock.

The music is punk and rock, and this concert takes place at The Independent, a San Francisco venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow Irish guitar bands, or anyone who wants to hear post-punk performed live in San Francisco.

Newcomers can start with Holding Hands with Jamie to get a sense of the band's recorded sound before the night.
