The Newport Peekeasy: Burlesque and Variety Show

A cabaret revue at The Newport Theater in Chicago, mixing burlesque, belly dance, drag and variety acts with digital content played live. The outing is built around a speakeasy-style setting.

The Newport Peekeasy is an hour-long revue featuring Chicago performers in burlesque, belly dance, drag and other variety acts. Alongside the live dance and performances, the program includes screenings of digital content, played live during the show, so the pace moves between several performance styles.

Guests sit at tables, and specialty cocktails are available for purchase on the night. The outing is designed with a speakeasy feel, and the cocktail service runs alongside the performances. The venue, The Newport Theater, is accessible only by a flight of stairs, so anyone with mobility concerns should plan for that before arriving.

The outing suits groups of friends and visitors passing through Chicago who want several performance styles combined in a single revue. It works well for a night out where the entertainment is the main focus and the drinks are a companion to the show.
