The Smashing Pumpkins: The Rats In A Cage Tour

The Smashing Pumpkins bring The Rats In A Cage Tour to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It is a rock concert by the Chicago band led by Billy Corgan.

The Smashing Pumpkins formed in Chicago in 1988, built around singer and guitarist Billy Corgan and guitarist James Iha, with bassist D'arcy Wretzky and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin in the original lineup. Their albums Gish (1991), Siamese Dream (1993) and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995) belong to the alternative rock of the early 1990s, with singles such as "Cherub Rock," "Today" and "1979."

The band broke up in 2000 and later reunited, and its catalog spans the 1990s and beyond. The music sits between hard-edged guitar rock and melodic songwriting, which is the core of the band's identity.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena is a venue for concerts and shows in Las Vegas. This night suits listeners who follow 1990s alternative rock and the band's later work under the Smashing Pumpkins name.
