The Smashing Pumpkins: The Rats In A Cage Tour

The Smashing Pumpkins bring The Rats In A Cage Tour to Climate Pledge Arena, a concert and performance venue in Seattle. This is a rock concert by the Chicago band whose catalog spans the 1990s and 2000s.

The Smashing Pumpkins are an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1988 by Billy Corgan, who sings and plays guitar, with guitarist James Iha, bassist D'arcy Wretzky and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin among the founding members. Their music combines heavy guitars, layered textures and melodic songwriting in the alternative rock tradition of the early 1990s. The 1993 album Siamese Dream and the 1995 double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness are among their most widely heard records, and songs such as "Today," "1979" and "Tonight, Tonight" are central to their catalog.

The band's work is described as pop, rock and indie, and it spans both their early records and later albums such as Adore (1998) and Machina/The Machines of God (2000). The Rats In A Cage Tour brings this catalog to Climate Pledge Arena, located at 334 1st Ave N in Seattle.

The show suits listeners who follow the band's full discography, as well as fans of 1990s alternative rock who want to hear Corgan's songwriting performed live in a large Seattle arena.
