A Charlie Brown Christmas - Live On Stage!

A Charlie Brown Christmas, presented live on stage at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. The show adapts the Peanuts holiday story and its music for a live audience.

The production is based on A Charlie Brown Christmas, the 1965 animated television special drawn from Charles M. Schulz's Peanuts comic strip. Lee Mendelson produced the special, Bill Melendez directed the animation, and the score was composed by pianist Vince Guaraldi. Its track "Linus and Lucy" remains the best-known piece from the soundtrack and has become a staple of seasonal listening.

The stage version carries the characters and story of the special into a live setting, with the music from the original broadcast at its center. The program is built around the familiar scenes of Charlie Brown's search for the meaning of Christmas, so audiences who know the television special will recognize the storyline and its tunes.

The Lincoln Theatre hosts concerts and shows in Washington. This holiday production suits families and longtime fans of the Peanuts characters, as well as anyone who has watched the special every December.
