The Rocky Horror Picture Show

A film concert built around The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the 1975 musical comedy horror film, presented at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a 1975 British-American musical comedy horror film directed by Jim Sharman. It adapts the stage musical The Rocky Horror Show, with music and lyrics by Richard O'Brien, and stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick. Its songs, including "Time Warp," form the core of the film's score.

This evening is a film concert, in which the picture is screened while its music is performed live. The format places the score at the center of the night rather than presenting the songs on their own.

The film has a long cult following, built on late-night screenings where audiences call out lines and act along with the story, so it appeals to fans of the film and of musical theater alike. The Lincoln Theatre is a Washington venue that hosts concerts and shows.
