Overview
A metal double bill at Irving Plaza in New York, with Finnish band Amorphis headlining alongside Insomnium. Hinayana also appears on the bill.
Amorphis is a Finnish band formed in 1990 in Helsinki, working in death-doom, melodic death metal and folk metal. Signed to Nuclear Blast, the group released its first album, "The Karelian Isthmus", in 1992. Insomnium, also from Finland, plays melodic death metal and shares the bill with Amorphis.
Hinayana completes the lineup of acts on this concert, and the program is built around the heavier, melodic side of Finnish metal. The show suits listeners who follow melodic death metal and folk-tinged metal, with the Amorphis catalog covering both directions.
Irving Plaza hosts concerts and shows in New York, and this bill is a metal night at the venue.
